I just want to start off saying they are very professional (No drama, no rudeness) and you don't have to wait forever to be seen. Appointments aren't stacked on top of each other. Pricing is fair and you're not there all day. Quality work at a respectable pace. If you come early they have their own waiting room before you enter the salon. Very comfortable and there's tvs in there to keep you entertained. Both are kept clean and clearly sanitized. I get my locs retwisted, washed and conditioned here all the time and never have any issues and my hair always looks great. I also always buy their oil (black girl magic cinnamon rose) and rosewater. My son’s stylist was Autumn. Rules: children have to have an adult in the waiting area.no food or drink allowed in the waiting area. All fine i had no problem with the rules … You can’t be more than 15 minutes late for an appointment. But several times when i made had an appointment we had to wait 30 to 45 minutes for my son to have his services started. I would ask my son do you want to leave and he would say no mom. There was one time I was cleaning out my purse and one of the other stylist came into the waiting area and heard me rattling papers she went in and told Autumn i was eating Autumn came in the waiting area so sure of herself you know there’s no eating in here. lol I thought that was so comical i said to her I’m not eating and she looked so Stupid…. I’ve been going to Autumn for over 2yrs now she actually started me on my loc journey and I can’t say nothing but positive things about her, she’s very professional and because of her my locs are healthy and stay looking good. Autumn also did my color and I get compliments daily on how good my locs look. The atmosphere of the salon is really pleasant and I feel comfortable when I’m there.

This salon is real hair care for locs and styling. The beauticians have great personalities and keep a tidy salon. I highly recommend this location for hair care services. I decided to update my review here. It's one year later, and I look forward to my routine hair care at Hippie Empire. I added color to my hair and experience different, fun styles that are long lasting. I get so many compliments on my locs, color, and creative styles. As a bonus, I can buy hair oil and rose water, request and receive advice on caring for my scalp, and a relaxing environment during my appointment. Thanks again for making hair care fun.

It was easy and convenient to book the appointment and upon arrival, was a very welcoming and professional environment. Would recommend for anyone trying to start their locs or looking for a good spot for a retwist. On top of my retwist, I also got my hair styled into barrel twists and overall, the entire process took about an hour which included a wash, the styling itself, and drying.
