He has been cutting my hair for years and is a super talented barber and even a better person. If you’re looking for a new/fresh spot in So. OC to get a cut, look no further. Hideaways won’t let you down!

Just checked out Hideaways Barbershop.. Max absolutely nailed it. The shop is tucked right off Avenida del Mar on South El Camino Real, and the name fits perfectly: it really does feel like a little hideaway. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, kind of like the surf spot in Kauai it’s named after. There’s easy parking right out front (huge plus in San Clemente), the cuts are top-notch for the price, and Max makes you feel right at home. Great spot for anyone coming from Laguna Niguel or Dana Point, definitely worth the short drive. Excited to have this new local gem in town.

Max is the best. I stopped cutting my hair for months after I thought he had moved away. On a whim, I Googled his name one day and was thrilled to find out he had opened his own shop. This place is an absolute gem. I have complete confidence letting Max do his thing, and I’m always happy with the results. Great barber, great guy. I’m so happy to be reunited with Max and will never go anywhere else.

Just got my haircut at Hideaways Barber Lounge and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The shop has great vibes from the moment you walk in—laid back, professional, and welcoming. Max absolutely crushed the cut. He took the time to understand what I wanted, paid attention to detail, and delivered exactly what I was looking for. One of the best haircuts I’ve had in a long time. Been to Hideaways Barber Lounge twice now. Max was easy to talk to and cool guy but more importantly he understood what I was looking for in my haircut. I also like that I can make an appointment and don’t have to just pray there isn’t a long line and when I need a cut. First time My hair was pretty long and I was in need of a lot more shaping than normal, but he was able to get my sides and back looking clean, while also blending it nicely with the mid length pushback I was going for. I also got my beard trimmed that time and was very happy with the length and lines. Second time Was only a month or so later but it was right before Christmas and he was able to get me cleaned up and looking good for the holidays. In and out, quick and efficient.
