1st off, as soon as I walked in I smelled such a relaxing aromas along w relaxing music. It was clean and the workers immediately greeted me! (Loved their customer service ❤️🙌) I was there for the comeback massage plus hot stone, I told them that and after filled out my information. Not long after I was escorted to the locker room if you will which was amazing!! She showed/ explained everything to me(there was lockers to put your things in, showers for after your services) this place was so attentive to detail it had shower caps if u didnt want to wet your hair, razors for shaving, hair products and hair dryers for after your shower. I’m very disappointed with my experience today. I had a 60-minute massage gift card that my daughter gave me back in November. I finally had time to use it, but the service I received was only about 30 minutes instead of the full hour. I arrived a few minutes late because I accidentally went to the wrong building first since they have two locations in the same area. However, I was still expecting a proper session or at least clear communication about how much time I would actually receive. No one explained that my massage would be cut in half. The massage therapist did a good job, but the time was much shorter than what was paid for. I finally used a Mother’s Day gift card and treated myself to a full day at Hiatus Spa + Retreat in San Antonio — and I’m so glad I did! I scheduled a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Parking Tip: If you’re headed down to The Pearl, give yourself extra time to park — it’s a bit tricky. I initially stopped at the valet in front of Hotel Emma (right near Hiatus) to ask for guidance. They suggested the parking garage, but turns out it’s only for monthly tenants. Luckily, there’s a surface lot just to the left of the garage where I found a spot without too much trouble. I really enjoyed my massage experience at Hiatus today! This was a gift from my staff and one had been there before and highly recommended. First of all, it’s at the Pearl, so it’s a beautiful atmosphere. Secondly, the check-in was easy and peaceful. You’re directed to a room where you put your belongings in a locker and are given robe/slippers. Then your therapist comes to get you. My therapist was Lauren and she was absolutely amazing!! She asked about any preferences/needs, then after choosing my aroma therapy scent, left so that I could get into the heated bed. The massage was perfect. It’s like she read my mind on what was needed. Perfect pressure, relaxing, sweeping Swedish technique. I was absolute mush leaving there lol. I love coming here! I've been coming for about a year and I get my eyebrow wax and hydro facials at the lab and my mani pedis at the cellars. Kaylin at the lab and she is so wonderful and will help me understand what my skin needs. She's not pushy and doesn't try to just sell me stuff. I usually see Mary Jane at the cellars. I am especially thankful for her because I am super picky about my pedicures and she always does an amazing job. I also appreciate her because I dont wear a polish and she does the best buff and shine on my nails. Both locations are so relaxing and peaceful!! The overall experience starting at walking to checking out is so nice. I'm so glad I found my spa peace ❤️
