I went to see Heather for the first time last week and I was so impressed to find that she is a real artist who loves what she does. I met two of her clients that shared with me their experiences with Heather and testified that she has been taking care of their hair for more than 15 years. Heather is knowledgeable, confident, and is generous and honest with her advice. What I also love about her is that she takes the time to work with you and your needs. I met Heather in DC in 2002. I had just returned from Paris, where a French hair stylist had just "released the texture" in my hair. In doing so he exacerbated my cowlicks leaving me with what looked like a swirled bull's eye on each side of my head. Needless to say, I was grateful for Heather's skill. I've been going to Heather since 2022 and have had nothing but great experiences. She has her own custom technique for gray blending that I swear is MAGIC. There's never a harsh grow-out line, even after 8 weeks. People I've met since I started seeing her are always surprised to find out I even have grays, which says a lot about how natural and seamless her work is. Heather also really knows curly hair. I have 2c/3a curls and have been to soooo many salons over the years that claimed to have "curl specialists," but it always quickly became clear they had no idea what they were doing. I was blown away by my first time experience with Heather! I had gray blending and color correction done. Not only is she incredibly educated on the color science but she talks with you through it all. My result is gorgeous but the colors suit me so well that it looks natural. Heather also gave me such an amazing haircut utilizing her dry cut technique. Again, not only could you see her amazing skill/talent but she explained what she was doing throughout the cut to ensure she obtained what you wanted in the haircut.

Heather is the absolute best. I have fine curly hair and it takes an expert to give a good cut. Heather never disappoints! I also get highlights and overall color frequently. The products she uses does not damage my hair and it always looks very natural. She is careful to ask my opinion and to give hers which I appreciate. I don’t always know exactly what I want but Heather always seems to figure out what will look best. I honestly would not see anyone else!
