Headlines Salon and Day Spa

I should have paid attention to the dates on the reviews for this business. The best ones were years ago. My experience was underwhelming. I will not return nor do I recommend this salon. The attendant at the front desk was friendly. The place is clean and lovely. It is quite inviting. It’s location on Main Street is convenient. They were accommodating. I called in the morning to see if they had any cancellations so that I can be seen. Thankfully, they could take me that afternoon for a wash, cut and blow dry. I arrived for my appointment 20 minutes earlier and was finally seen 23 minutes after my appointment. $70.00 later I was left with uneven layers. The stylist used thinning sheers on already thin hair that curls when dry. My first time to Headlines, will also be my last.

When another local salon cancelled on me last minute (2 hours before my appointment), I called Headlines in a panic looking for a blow out before my engagement pictures that evening. The receptionist was so kind and worked with the stylists to get me in for a quick appointment. They were so professional and had a lovely calming presence after the shakeup I had had earlier that day. They did a great job and my curls stayed all night despite the questionable weather. I was so happy with the services that I booked again for my rehearsal dinner. A big thank you to Audra and the rest of Headlines for saving the day after the salon across the street screwed me over.

Kristen was a wonderful stylist! She saw my reference photos, evaluated my hair, and achieved a great look that was customized to my look. Can't thank her enough!

I know I'm seeing the right stylist when I'm stopped repeatedly in downtown Manhattan and asked, "Who does your hair!?" Been a client for decades & happily travel 90 min to make sure Barb or Michelle does my hair. Cheryl and Shannon also do terrific waxing, manicures and more. Can't recommend highly enough.

After having long hair for many years, I decided it was time for a long overdue change. When I lived on the Cape 6 years ago, I wouldn’t let anyone touch my hair but Alyssa, happy to know she’s still there but I was unable to get an appointment with her, so I went with Ally! Ally did an amazing job and I highly recommend her! I went with an inverted bob (short); low lights and high lights and I absolutely love it! She asked if I wanted to go for curls (not exact words); but said, go for it and I was shocked at how stunning it looked! Although, I live over 2 hours away, I see myself heading back for all my hairstyling needs. I highly recommend both Ally and Alyssa! Thank you ! Annemarie
