From the Google Maps picture, it appears as though the barber shop has closed. That breaks my heart. Back in the mid 1960s, when my father retired, we moved to east Lakeland and lived just a few blocks away from the shop. Mr. Harrell (senior), and one of his sons, cut my dad's and my hair for YEARS. Mr. Harrell actually gave me my last haircut before I went into the Air Force, in late '81. I understand another of Mr. Harrell's sons was running it, until recently. It will be SORELY missed. The Harrells were (are) great people and always treated my father and me like family. Not to mention, they gave great haircuts.
