Happy Place

I had my hair cut for the first time in NYC at Happy Place with Heath and the experience was amazing!! I went during a sliding scale day (which itself is so considerate since it's so hard to find affordable cuts in the city as a broke college student) and the hospitality and vibes were immaculate. I walked in anxious and left feeling confident about my hair. Heath was super receptive to my thoughts and even helped enhance the cut more. All in all, I will be returning for my future haircare needs :)

i love my hairdresser shea! i will not let anyone else touch my head, the haircuts i get are always exactly what i imagined in my mind and they kill it every single time. i’ve followed her from salons and it’s been well worth it! can’t wait to come back.

Shea is amazing! She starts off making a plan with you, then executes with precision. Shea is an expert. If you’re indecisive like me, trust Shea, she’s an ARTIST with a VISION and will have you leaving her chair looking CORRECT. I’ve had cut, color and highlights a few times and always leave blown away. Her attention to detail is impressive and I’d recommend Shea to anyone with hair. Shea does it all… due to my job I have to keep colors on the natural side, but if you’re looking for vivid colors, you want Shea to do your hair. Can’t say enough good things about Shea and Happy Place in general. The vibe of the studio is great and you might even catch kitties out the window.

I love Happy Place!!! I always feel welcomed and taken care of in this cozy space. Heath is an amazing stylist who is very easy to trust! he always gives me a perfect shag, & has helped me change my front colored pieces from bleached to red hair to purple hair … can’t wait to see what color we do next.
