Handy's Barber Shop

The barber was friendly & respectful. As a young single mother, it’s hard finding a good barber for my son. Some barbers don’t listen to how I want my sons hair, or are unprofessional and try to talk to me and get my number. Not every barber has patience with kids either. The barber was quick and did a really good job. I was very satisfied with the cut & the service!

Mr. Handy is a wonderful barber who has been established for over 50 years in the Olney section of Philadelphia. He cuts by appointment only so there was no long wait & no fear of COVID transmission. He is professional & gave my son a good solid cut. The shop is not crowded with a lot of loud music playing & the prices are very reasonable. The cut took about 20 to 25 minutes. Definitely would recommend for a very personalized throw back barbershop experience.

This shop been around for years mr.Handy gave me my first job at the age of 10 well respected in the community he’s more then a barber he’s a mentor/stand up guy/ and a hero and he’s still cutting!!! We love this shop so much history and wisdom come from there you will learn so much just by sitting in there listening to the stories we love you sir keep up the wonderful work your putting into the community much respect-TyronBowie
