Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

EDIT: I received a PARTIAL refund after this review. I came in with a gift card from a friend for a one-hour massage. What I wasn’t told, until after the service, was that the gift card didn’t actually cover the full cost of a one-hour session. Had this been explained upfront, I would not have gone through with the massage. Beyond that, the overall experience felt far more sales-driven than relaxing. From the structure of the service to the way pricing is presented, it came across as gimmicky rather than transparent. Instead of leaving feeling relaxed, I left feeling pressured and misled. A massage should feel restorative, not like a setup for an upsell. Clear communication and less sales pitch would go a long way here.

I went in today for my first introductory massage at Hand & Stone, and i am absolutely blown away. I haven’t had a ton of massages in the past, but I have had them and been to multiple different places trying things out. My appointment was with Nate, and I believe the front desk associates name was Gia? I felt instantly welcomed and comfortable with both of them, and as I deal with enormous anxiety around getting massages, it really helped me relax and enjoy my service. I’ve been dealing with a major sciatica episode for almost a month now and needed to get everything worked out, so I booked a deep tissue. This location lacks the maturity, training, and customer care expected from a professional spa. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I brought my mom here for a massage, and the experience was deeply disappointing. Poor communication from the front desk regarding required forms cut into both of our sessions. When I raised the issue, I was met with defensiveness rather than accountability. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only concern. I had also scheduled massages for myself and my sister, only to arrive and be told the appointments were canceled without notice. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they refused to take my call and instead asked me to email. This passive-aggressive response likely stemmed from a previous interaction, where I had requested two concurrent appointments

I wanted to share my wonderful experience with Christina, my aesthetician. She recently gave me an amazing facial, and I was so impressed that I decided to become a member. My skin feels fantastic – completely rejuvenated and already showing signs of improvement! Thank you again, Christina, for such a positive experience.
