Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

This was my 3rd visit to this location, and each appointment has been excellent. This time. I received a facial and microdermabrasion from Jamia, who was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. She created a personalized welcome sign and even had sweet treats available when I entered the room - such a thoughtful touch. Jamia asked insightful questions, talked JUST ENOUGH during the session, provided helpful feedback, and developed a great treatment plan tailored to my needs. I give her a solid 5 stars!! As a local, I'd love for Jamia to be my go-to-person and make this location "my place." That said, I do agree with some of the other reviews regarding the overall "spa experience." Ashley the manager is extremely rude, disrespectful. I called to cancel my appointment due to not feeling well and her voice istantly became annoyed. Once I asked her what was the fee to cancel and then attempt to change my appointment, I started asking her "why the attitude" she then said "I answered all of your questions, then hung up in my ear!" I tried to call 2 different time but was unable to get through. I have attempted to reach the owner Dr. Kim Birchen because she refused to give me corporate number and refused to have me speak with anyone else. I wanted to get the cameras pulled and the call. This type of customer service should NOT be tolerated especially from a massage spa. I would NOT recommend anyone to this location if she still works there!!! She should be fired!!!

After being a member for a few months I was unable to use the extra credits I had it because they said I had a late call to reschedule. While that was true they called me two hours before my scheduled appointment to let me know they can't find the young lady who was scheduled to do my facial and had not heard from her so they wanted to reschedule. It so happened after that rescheduling,which throw me off schedule I called to cancel because I realized I was going out of town. This happened because I was off my regular appointment. I told the Manager I was going to cancel membership because that wasn't fair and may do it after I speak with the guy who made my appointment to see why I was missing two credit. The manager then said in a sarcastic tone. You don't have to wait, ill cancel it

Facilities were dated and not very clean. There were no robes, no perks, no amazing spa smells. It was quite blah. The massage therapists was incredibly polite, kind and the massage itself was great. I had to order lots of extras but it was worth it. Wouldn’t return. When I go to a spa I have an expectation for an atmosphere of tranquility surrounded by visual and olfactory sensory feel goods that make me feel special. Didn’t feel that at all.

I had heard great things about Hand and Stone so I figured why not try it for myself. The service from beginning to end was professional, warm and inviting David was AMAZING and targeted a major problem area for me and I feel so much better. His attentiveness and level care was refreshing. The lovely young lady at the front desk was extremely sweet and personable. The combination of their energy made my 1st time memorable and I am grateful for the time I spent there. Looking forward to my next appt.
