I really enjoyed my massage with Alexis. I like a gentle touch which usually means a relaxing but not impactful massage. Alexis was thorough, she used just the right amount of pressure and I left feeling incredible. Before we even began, she showed me stretches to do at home. I will absolutely be returning to her.

I booked an appointment for an introductory 1hr facial with a price of $79. When I checked out somehow they were charging me $109 ($30) more. They mentioned that I had gotten an upgrade that I had never consented to. The estetitian as I was in the room mentioned she recommended a specific type of facial and I told her sure you know what works best. But generally in every other place I have gotten facials there are multiple types of products they can use depending on your skin and that is all under the same price. I am not opposed to the concept of upgrading but the fact that there is no disclosure on the extra price or telling you that what they are doing is going to cost more is my issue. I’ve had the hand and stone membership for a little over a year- no issues. I was going to the blue bell location previously and have had excellent massages there. I wanted to get in as soon as I could so I took an appointment at the Montgomeryville location since it is also closer to me. My massage therapist did not listen to my concerns. I asked her twice to focus most on my shoulder area and she said “the whole body is connected” and continued to work on another area. She also did more rubbing than massaging. When I told the receptionist the feedback she didn’t even apologize and just said they would set me up with someone else next time. I called back some time after leaving since it didn’t even feel like I had a massage. The best she said they could do for me was give me half off the

I’ve never had a bad experience at Hand and Stone Montgomeryville! I decided to treat myself to the membership a little over a year ago, which has been a decision I’ve never regretted. Since then, I’ve rotated through each massage therapist to find the right one to fit my needs. It’s guaranteed you’ll come out feeling relaxed every time! Plus everyone here has always been very friendly and professional.

Avoid!! The owner here is very cruel, privileged, and off-putting. After passive aggressively giving me a disapproving look, I asked her if she had a problem. She then bullied me and said I was insulting by giving a tip she didn't like. This is the tip I can afford, and I tried my best. I told her this was my financial situation right now and that she had no right to shame me. She was completely out of line and condescending. She said her employees work off tips, but isn't the issue that she does not pay a living wage? I should be treated equally, too. She is NOT paying me bills, so why is she asking me about my pocket. She basically told me my financial situation is not her concern. After explaining this to her, she didn't apologize. She just stared at me blankly and spoke in a monotone
