Steve’s haircuts are outstanding, 5 stars. Writing a review for a bad experience with a perm I got with Ana in December ‘25 - I had requested C curls only at the ends of my hair, and ended up with something completely different: uneven beach waves on one side of my head and damaged, straight hair on the other. In addition to the perm not taking, I ended up with chemical burns all over my scalp that resulted in completely bald spots and multiple large patches of complete hair breakage at the root. My hair is now uneven, severely damaged, and shedding uncontrollably for months now. I really wish that I had not let Ana touch my hair.

I’ve been a client for a year now and I cannot recommend Ana enough! Super skilled, knowledgeable, adaptable, and most importantly she’ll never steer you wrong. In my almost 2 decades of living here in the DMV I have been to so many different hair salons/barber shops and I’ve been met with very mixed results. Before hairsociety I didn’t realize what true consistency in hair care was. Since my first visit, I haven’t looked back.

Ana has been cutting my hair for almost 2 years now and it has completely transformed. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped my thin hair grow and gain fullness. She is also so sweet and I actually enjoy getting my haircut now because I get to catch up with her. The BEST!!!

Ana has been coloring and cutting my hair since she was a student at Paul Mitchell. She is an amazing hairdresser. My hair and I love her. She cuts my daughter’s hair, too.

Ask for Ana! She has been taking care of my hair for years and I constantly get compliments. She’s easy to get a hold of and always works with me. Highly recommended!
