I absolutely adored working with Emily! I just loved her personality and the experience she was able to deliver through a haircut. I told her I wanted to take off length and add layers framing my face- to which she did an incredible job of executing along with adding more volume than I knew my curls were capable of. As soon as Emily sat me down, she was super sweet- getting to know me along with my hair. Relating to curly girl techniques and sharing websites- there is a lot of knowledge to be had with someone who has obviously worked diligently with curly hair. I am new to curls, but her confidence and knowledge about caring for them, helping them live their best life, and plan to make them come out even more helps me feel confident, capable, and beautiful. I cannot recommend her enough! She books months out, so stalk the website or get added to her wait-list. You won't be disappointed! Emily at Hairology is the absolute BEST and the ultimate curl doctor!! My daughter had some tired curls with an outgrown cut and highlights. She patiently worked through the frizzy-fro and skillfully brought them back to life with an incredible bounce and gorgeous colored highlights. It‘s the best I have ever seen my daughter’s hair. We came from Maryland to get in with her and are excited we finally found someone who understands her curly hair!!

I have been on my curly girl journey since 2018. I consider myself pretty educated in this area, and have even had my hair done at DevaChan Hair Salon in New York City (a splurge). In looking for a new local stylist I had been searching for one that knew curly hair that wouldn't require me to drive hours away when I stumbled upon Emily. In reading the reviews I noticed I had a friend who left a review too. I called her up to discuss and booked my appointment that day for a cut and color (high and low light foils) with Olaplex. The booking system is online, which I love as it allows me to view options and compare with my calendar. Once booked, Emily messaged me for information on my hair. 10 out of 10 recommend! I met with Emily about 3 weeks ago for my first appointment. She was so detailed, patient, thorough and insightful! I’ve had other curly cuts in the past but this level of customer care was on another level.. She explained my curl pattern and why the cut I was getting would look perfect for me and do’s and do not recommend, she is great! My hair has not looked this good for a long time. If you know about curly hair you know that it’s not easy to find a good curly hair expert, so this was a God send for me! Thank you Emily!
