Martiene knows black hair. She takes her time and treats your hair. Be expected to spend over two hours at her hair salon because she treats your hair, sets it and places you under the dryer. She doesn’t use blow dryers that damaged your hair. After I do my hair my Martiene my hair is fuller and thicker for the following weeks and months.

Was pleasantly surprised at the service received. This woman knows what she is doing. Natural black hair care is a breeze for this woman. She made sure to ask about my comfort level every step of the way!!! I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming here for 1 year. Martine is a true professional. The place has a very cozy, spa like feel to it. Especially recommended for natural hair!

Friendz Restaurant is now Martine’s Bistro after Martine Jean-Charles stole the restaurant from the other two partners. Friendz Restaurant was created based on a partnership between three black female owners and she stole the restaurant from the other two women without dissolution of the partnership or even buying them out. She is basically running the business from the same place, with the same staff and everything else remains the same. Nothing else changed except for the fact that she kicked the other two women out and took over. That is why it went from “Friendz Restaurant” to “Martine’s Bistro”. What an egocentric move.

Very nice and warm environment. The owner and staff are pleasant and make you feel comfortable. Did a great job on me and my daughter's hair.
