Hair Story

I used to be a client here. I followed my hairstylist Grace Kim here from her previous place, even though this place was a step down, with A/C that often doesn't work, and being less than desirable inside. In the 13+ years I've been here, it's been a revolving door for stylists, except for Grace, but Grace made the environment worth it. With the new management here, they've been very discourteous to Grace, which makes me understand why they've had such high turnover. Luckily Grace's new place is steps away, and it's nicer, cleaner, and more professional.

First off I would give this place absolutely no stars, it would be a waste. I never tend to write bad reviews, but this is unacceptable. She wanted a blueish gray coloring to her hair and we understand that the colors can’t be exact. Took about 4 1/2hrs, reasonable. The front seemed alright, disregarding the difference in the color she wanted, but the back was terrifying. There were chunks of hair just falling out without even pulling it with force. We obviously went back, and the male who did her hair did not seem have any sympathy, just saying it was due to the amount of bleach put onto her hair, which was about 3 times.This was the first time I have ever heard a professional hair stylist say this to me. I have been getting Japanese straightening done for the last 20 years. I have even gotten them from Jeny for a good 5-6 years. I went to her after a long time and i would now stay away from this place. I Went in to get a Japanese straightening that cost $300. My hair were still curly after the treatment, i have never had an issue with hair staying curly. First Jeny said she is going to fix my hair since it’s her fault. She went to Korea then I was out of country. I contacted her regarding fixing my hair this week. Now she is blaming that my hair was damaged that’s why they didn’t come out straight- my hair was all new growth, not treated and she cut off bottom 3 inches so we are talking all healthy hair., now she wants $150 to fix what she messed up in first place. False advertisement. Mens’s cut $18. Decided to try after grocery shopping but had horrible experience. Got cut by the old guy who didn’t know how to cut hair. Uneven and a lot of areas were missed. Got charged $30+tip and told by the owner that $18 was only cut by a student. The old guy was not a student. Ended up going to another place across the street to fix the uneven area. Never go back.

They did a fantastic job with coloring & cutting my hair. I was very nervous as I have natural curly hair but I am very impressed on how well they took care of me & my hair. The process took about 2 hours & they had a very reasonable price. They will not disappoint you.
