Hair Cuttery

Edit: I came back to see James on a couple weeks ago on Thursday 2/12/26 because I wanted a refresh from my black roots and faded blue but also a new hair color, red! I went in for a consultation on 2/10 and we came up with a plan to use a few different shades to get a really cool effect on my hair. We spent the whole day that Thursday working on my hair and the end result was AMAZING! I'm definitely happy I came back to see James again! I went to see James last Tuesday 8/12 to get my hair color corrected after it got messed up in late July. James gave me a free consultation on 8/9 telling me that he thinks he can fix my hair. He spent literally the whole day on that Tuesday working his magic on my hair! He completely saved and fixed my hair! It looks so much more vibrant and amazing now!

Love my new haircut! Probably cut off about 4-5 inches of my long hair today and Sonya did such a great job of doing so :) very attentive and listened to what I wanted. Very very pleased and will be returning!

I have naturally curly/frizzy hair. It seems the operator did not understand that this type of hair must be cut in layers to encourage natural waves. He wanted to blow dry it strait and give me a part down the middle. I have a round/square face and am a large (overweight) elderly woman He didn’t even ask me if I wanted a part. What bothered me. Most was that I’ve been there before and the female workers were more considerate and sensitive to my needs.

I booked an appointment online with James after seeing great reviews. My hair was super, super long (past my waist) and I was sick of it and ready for a big chop. I brought in pictures of a style I liked. James was on time and gave a fantastic consultation, talking to me about what I liked in the examples I’d brought, products I use, my natural texture, and my typical routine to understand how to modify the haircut to best suit me. He started by leaving a couple of inches of extra length so I wouldn’t be shocked after washing it at home and having my wavy texture make it seem shorter. He got the clippers out to cut off over a foot of hair and then I got a thorough wash and condition. James was very focused during the cut but we talked and laughed throughout. Great job once again for my walking quick wash and blow out!! Tonight was extra enjoyable as once myself and another client was finished. We both sat in our chairs along with a group of the stylist around us just chatting away and gossiping like us girls love to do.! They are always a pleasure at this location and tonight was no different. Thank you again Sabina and loved talking with you again Blanca! Maybe we will have to start that wine club after all!? lol 😝
