As a POC with longer hair, it’s difficult to find people that understand our hair. Going off recommendations a from friends, I went here a couple of times and walked out with acceptable hair. However, I decided to stop going due to how unwelcoming the location is. Walking in, you can feel as if you are out of place. They were unwelcoming to me and did not acknowledge me until I had to engage with them. Even while waiting I felt as if I was intruding the way they would glance at me and question if I belonged there. Each stylist never really listened to what I wanted to and went with what they wanted. Safe to say, will not be returning.

I just moved to Yorkville recently and I was way overdue for a cut and color. I left a voicemail message and Taryn returned my call quickly. She is very upbeat and has a genuine positive vibe. I explained to her what my hair type is and that I am mostly gray. Taryn immediately made some suggestions. She describes what each process would entail and answered any questions that I had about each one. I chose the highlights/lowlights which would enhance the gray and not be as noticeable with the outgrowth. I had never had highlights/lowlights before so this was new for me. Taryn did an incredible job with my hair. She truly cares about her clients. I am EXTREMELY happy with my new hair cut and coloring. I highly recommend Taryn!!!

Ashley cork is an amazing hair stylist she's been doing my hair for over 10 years. I now live out of state and anytime I want something major done I always wait until I can go to her. She has an eye for color and is absolutely fantastic with unique cuts she's cut 13 inches off my hair before as well as done out of the ordinary colors and I'm happy every single time.
