Hair by Edma

This was my first time at this salon and I will definitely keep coming back! I went for a wash, cut and blow dry. Sonia was my stylist - she was very sweet and cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I showed her a picture beforehand and it came out beautifully! The salon is small but they were all very nice and used nice products on my hair.

Wizards are real and they work at hair by Edma! I have never in my entire life had a haircut that made me feel immediately better about myself. Sonya, an angel, was my stylist, and Edma ensured comfort throughout the visit. This was my first visit and I’m never going anywhere else again. Period.

I’m new to the Boston area and had a hard time finding a salon that offered hair botox along with other services. I’m so glad I found Hair by Edma — it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The owner and my stylist went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, comfortable, and confident every step of the way. They thoroughly explained every process, carefully evaluated the condition of my hair (which was damaged and full of uneven colors), and even did test strands to find the safest and most effective approach. I am starting to have gray hair and wanted to cut my hair short to let the gray come out naturally. I also requested some highlights to blend the upcoming grays in. I spend a lot of time explaining what I wanted and she wanted to add a bunch of treatments to charge me over $600. I was going to just have the haircut but she insisted upon me having the highlights and lower price without any treatment at over $300. I gave in. When the woman performing the haircut took a while hesitant to start the haircut., I asked her if she knew what she was doing. She said yes so she started. At the end my haircut and highlights wasn't what I expected. To fix the mess, I went Anita Kurls in Boston and Elle fixed the mess and put alot of treatments and I even bought a product for my hair, I only paid $265.
