Great Clips

I recently got a hair cut here and loved it, so I decided to take my 5 year old son to get his done. Biggest mistake 😭 his hair was completely uneven, he said “mommy why did she cut my hair like an M”. The sides were incredibly choppy and some areas weren’t even cut. I don’t know her name, but she clearly doesn’t know how to cut hair. I was really disappointed. My son struggles with new people/places and was very uncomfortable the whole time. He was excited at first and then quickly became uncomfortable around her. Will not be going here again!

The young lady who cut my hair was nice, but for the love of god. Slow down and please focus on the haircut. She talked nonstop and almost rip my hair from my scalp instead of cutting because she would move her hand too fast. I assumed she must be new to the job? . I was asking for a skin fade/ high military fade. She gave me a 1 on the side and sloppy top buzz. Im sure there are better stylists in the shop but if you can, avoid this one.

I visited Great Clips in Yorktown on Friday, March 7, for a wash, blow-dry, straighten, and trim, paying $70 for the service. I scheduled this appointment in preparation for a braiding appointment on Sunday. Unfortunately, my hair was not washed properly and I still had visible dirt in my hair, which resulted in my braider asking me to reschedule until I could properly rewash and blow-dry my hair. This was not only inconvenient but also frustrating since I had paid for a full service. On Sunday, I called and spoke with a manager named Sierra, who was kind and understanding. She offered to have me come in so she could help, but due to my time constraints, that wasn’t an option. I then inquired about a partial refund, and Sierra informed me she needed to check with the area manager, Paula.

I absolutely love this location. Every time I've come in ive been very well taken care of. Shout out to Paula and Cee!! Their attention to detail and care is superb, they always execute the vision i have for my cut even without me knowing how to explain what I want. They also make fantastic recommendations. Will make this location and those stylists my regulars!! ❤️

We got my husband and toddler's haircut here this past weekend and I am SO impressed. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and I noticed that even when they were busy, they always made sure to greet other customers as well. This makes a big difference to me because sometimes you go to places and they ignore you, even if they are just sitting and looking at their phones. I came here because I was tired of other haircut places (even child-centered ones) either acting like they didn't want to be there or were too nervous to cut my child's hair properly. He is actually pretty well behaved as long as I give him a little screen time. Ashlee was CONFIDENT and SO FRIENDLY and put my mind at ease. I will DEFINITELY be returning and asking for Ashlee!!!
