Great Clips

Took my mom to the Sherrills Ford location this morning for a haircut. She was elated to see Shay in the shop and requested her specifically based on liking her prior cuts. During her cut, my mom mentioned that she recently lost her husband due to a long illness. Shay was very compassionate and generous with my mom. I just want to thank Shay for going above and beyond during a difficult time for my mom. Shay’s actions were heartfelt and beautiful, along with her stylist skills as well. Thank you so much for making mom feel better!

My wife and 2 yr old autistic son went to get his haircut this morning and (Hills) the stylist that was going to cut his hair, rolled her eyes and acted as if my son should just get over the fact that the sound of the clippers scared him. The manager (Shay) then came over and told my wife and son that they were refusing them service because my child was being difficult and they wouldn’t be able to cut his hair. My wife tried to ask if she could help and comfort him as well as sit with him while he got a haircut to calm him down she was told no they couldn’t cut his hair that way. There was no patience or empathy from Hills or Shay as my wife and son were just told they couldn’t receive a haircut, I don’t think they should offer haircuts to kids if they are too “difficult” for the staff, or

Horrible experience! We had to leave without a haircut today. I took my autistic son to get his haircut today, but the stylist was really rude and impatient. She told me she couldn’t cut his hair. I tried to offer some ideas to help, but they didn’t want to hear them. The hairstylist would turn the clippers on, my son would get scared, so she would turn them off and would just stand there starring at him, and would look back at her manager and roll her eyes. The manager came over and asked what was happening. I told her that he’s autistic, and I’m trying to keep him calm, she said “he’s being too difficult and we can’t cut his hair”. If I could give 0 star I totally would. My daughter and I went in for the same haircut this morning. I showed them the picture of what we wanted. My daughter asked to keep more length on the top and front than what was shown in the picture. She told me the style we wanted was heavily styled and I knew that. The first picture is what we showed them and the second is what I walked away with. My daughter got like an inch more length in the front. She is 12 and left crying because they ruined her hair and kids are mean and are going to bully her and say she looks like a boy. To say I am extremely disappointed and unsatisfied is an understatement! I will never ever return here for another haircut. Our cuts look nothing like the photo we showed them.
