Great Clips

My apologies to Courtney. I was mistaken she did not use a razor on my hair. I found out it was my hairdryer that was over heating and I had it to close to my hair as not my “ blow” coming out of it but red hot. So please accept my apologies Courtney. It turned out to be a great cut after all. But you should have spoken up when I came into complain as it was the other hairdresser who confirmed my suspicions that it was not a razor that used but a dud hairdryer that I used. Thanks again for being so polite. I'm glad I was able to clear up the review and post you an honest one

I went into the Great Clips store in New Milford, Ct. on January 14, 2025, expecting to be shorn, but instead, I was taken to the cleaners! The lady doing my haircut, Kathrine, did not touch the top of my head as instructed. She managed to find and cut all the hair on my right ear but the left was just ignored along with the left sideburn. She then asked if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed. I agreed, so she shaved them nearly OFF! I didn't notice all this until I was home and closer to a mirror. I am severely disappointed with this New Milford business. I guess it's meant for new graduates to get some experience, but the care free lack of attention I was subjected to is unconscionable! I have had several VERY good experiences at this business, but it only takes one bad one to spoil my opinion

I've been here 4 times. I've never had the same person cut my hair. I always ask where they are from and 2 of them were driving an hour plus to cut hair here. The first 3 cuts were good and the ladies were nice. My last one, not so much. She was nice enough but seemed in a rush with the trimmer. Cut it close over the ears but the hair coming down looks funny, like it hangs then there is the start of a crew cut. She was a little rough around the neck with her trimmer too. These ladies must be dying for work to drive that far, so I appreciate that. I didn't appreciate the haircut.

The guy who was working today was great! He was the only employee working as they are understaffed significantly, like everywhere else is, and he was so polite, professional and engaging. There were people waiting and others who came in that seemed agitated with the employee who was doing his job, he gave great haircuts, I had 2 people in front of me, and heard his interactions with everyone. I must admit I don't think 98% of the working population would have done such a good job given the circumstances. Phones ringing, computer online check ins, cutting hair and checking people out, with a smile and positive attitude. I forgot his name, but he needs a raise and if he was not the manager he should be. Will definitely return, great cut and great service!

My 1st visit today. I finally found a stylist that knows what she's doing, Lisa. Very pleasant experience. I'm hooked. Thank you 🤗
