Great Clips

It's been a rough winter around here. I've been hiding at home, waiting for the world to change. Then, I wrote a short story that ended with the line, "The thing about storms is - they end." Well, if my storm is going to end, I need to get out into the sunshine. On a recent sunny day, I looked in the mirror and realized that I should get a haircut and stop looking like a neanderthal. Google Maps gave me a long list of options. The reviews talked about fantastic stylists, people great with kids or expertise with various types of hair. I don't have any style, I haven't been a kid for half a century and no one specializes in awkward bald spots. I just need a cut without any fuss and for a reasonable price. How about Great Clips? I had asked my mom to take my kid to get a haircut. Because I had another thing that I had to do when my child arrived home in tears very upset because the stylist had cut. My kids bangs completely off. Leaving my child's hair very uneven. My child had showed pictures of exactly what they wanted. It was basically just a touch up of the haircut that they already had and the woman that cut my kid's haircut. It's so boxy and horrible. My child has their 1st day of school tomorrow and they are crying because they don't want to go now. Instead of the workers at the salon being polite and offering a refund, I was argued with and told that I'm wrong that my child wanted, their banks completely chopped off after I showed the picture. I showed up to this Greatclips ashamed of the state of my hair, due to breakage caused by myself. I was scared of judgement and dismissal of my ask to try and save the healthy hair I had left. I was so touched by the easy kindness and compassion I was met with, by a stylist whose name I am completely blanking on :( I was there Friday Dec 12th if that’s helpful at all. I was given so much great advice that was catered to my current tough financial situation. I was reassured that my hair wasn’t beyond help. All of my questions were answered patiently and gently. I was pleased with my haircut. It was fast, possibly because I get it cut biweekly, and neat. I am in my 80th year and do not have a lot of hair and I expected there to be a senior discount but there was no mention of it. Is that an option in the Seattle area?

Absolutely amazing staff and hairstylists! I love my 2 main stylists here! They’re angels! I’ve been coming here with my family nearly 3 times a year for the last 5 years! I trust every single stylist in here, they’re all talented! Of course, you can’t expect Vidal Sassoon quality work, and I don’t say that as an insult, this franchise is built in a more UTILITARIAN kind of way, simple and clean haircuts at an affordable price. Pleasant staff that work efficiently! Producing consistent, predictable, and acceptable work. What more can you ask for at this price point?
