Great Clips

Maria at the Lakewood Towne Center location was great! She’s super friendly, really gentle when washing and cutting my hair, and very thorough. I also liked that she wasn’t afraid to suggest a slightly different way to cut it to make it look better. I usually just go to the salon closest to me, but I’ll definitely be coming back here to see Maria again.

My haircut was done expertly today. I went to the wrong store (a different one than I called to make the appointment.... there are 2 in Lakewood) and they got me right in. They even had a knowledgeable stylist ready to go. Dang that I didn't get her name but I'm pretty sure they keep records on that. Anyway. Hooray and hallelujah! This is definitely my worst and most interesting experience I’ve ever had getting a trim. As soon as I was called back to be seated, the guy puts the cape on me and then starts texting whomever. I can understand that things may come up, but it didn’t happen just once. After the third time of picking up his phone mid haircut, I told him he can go take a call if he needs to, because I’m not in a hurry. I think he ended up taking the hint, and proceeded with the trim. I think whatever he was dealing with distracted him enough to only proceed to cut half of my hair. In the process, I don’t know if it was his sense of humor and I was already annoyed at that point or what, but then he starts making odd comments about my hair texture. I initially came in 2 days ago and I received a really bad haircut. I was so angry. I left a 1 star review. Well, this morning, Chris (manager) called me and asked if I wanted to come in and get it fixed. I decided to give them another chance. The person who fixed my hair was amazing and I am very happy with my haircut. This is a business that cares about their customers. Not many businesses fix their mistakes. This one did.

It was a decent customer experience, didn’t wait long, barber was collected and calm, always a great add. And the prices are always great too, especially with military discount. I was mainly getting my haircut for upcoming drill, but to my dismay, I got a seriously botched haircut. I asked for a skin fade from a 1 to blend to the top of my head, which sits at around 2 inches. The blend work is absolutely horrendous.
