Gorgeous Nails - Nails Salon in Chesterfield

I am never one to make a negative review but I truly do not understand how this place has such good ratings because my friend & I received one of the worst services here. We decided to try Gorgeous Nails for the first time on Friday. We both had appointments for Builder Gel fills. For starters, the ladies we both had were very unfriendly. My lady did not even use a towel I had my hands resting on magazine paper. She started applying the builder gel to my nails which burned beyond belief. I have had builder gel on my nails for months & have never had any burning sensation before. She then started to paint my nails a brown color & when I spoke up she responded with “this is the color you picked out” mind you, I had not even told her the color that I wanted. FALSE. ADVERTISEMENT - STAY AWAY!!! As a first time customer I must say that the experience was underwhelming to say the least. What attracted me to this location were all the beautiful nail designs on their Facebook page and this post. I was serviced by MIKE who noticeably didn’t have time to do my nails. I told him I was going to Vegas and I wanted to step outside my comfort zone. He said ok I’ll make them look good for Vegas. I found myself increasingly disappointed as he did not deliver as expected. He kept asking me what I wanted. Finally I said be creative but use pink. Begrudgingly I paid for the service and tipped 20% because that’s the expectation right? After about an hour of looking at my nails I went back to the salon to share my experience. If I could put zero stars I would. The absolute worst nail experience I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been getting my nails done for more than 20 years and been to dozens of salons. This was by far was the worst. I should have gotten up and left but it was late on a Sunday and I had no alternative to go get my nails fixed elsewhere. The pedicure wasn’t awful although I doubt the tools were clean as they pulled them out of a cup in a caddy rather than a sterilized packet. But the nails were horrific. I went in for new dip. The removal process of my old dip involved painful drilling which I demanded they stop doing. I’ve never had dip drilled off. My typical salon always wraps my nails to remove the dip. In this case they then began soaking my hand inside a bowl with a washcloth covered in

$50 for nails that look nothing like what I asked for. She chopped a nail that didn’t need be chopped because my nails are naturally long and put acrylic on it😅$50 for nails that I absolutely hate and 3 acrylics is insane. Also posting what I got vs what I asked for

The worst service and nail results I’ve ever had. The nail tech was not friendly, my nails are not smooth. They are bumpy, rough and uneven. I paid first ($93) then showed her how the nails were not right. She gave me attitude and said it’s the shellac polish I chose. I never plan to return, they’ve lost a good customer. Don’t waste your monies or time
