Nostalgic, Rustic, Inconvenient Golden’s Barbershop is a charming throwback, with old-timers running a nostalgic shop that resonates with the smell of aged wood and the echoes of centuries of use. It’s evident that the barbers have plenty of years of service under their belts, but the overall vibe feels a bit antiquated. At just $16 for a cut, the price is enticing, and the hours appeared to be accommodating. While I was looking forward to a classic haircut experience, I ultimately left disappointed. The shop’s cash-only policy caught me off guard, and despite there being an ATM just 200 feet away, I wasn't keen on incurring extra fees. In an age where convenience is key, it would be great to see Golden’s Barbershop embrace some of the modern technological options available to streamlin

Mr Michael did a great job on my little boys hair! He was so patient with him, as he is a 3 1/2 year old wiggle worm! It was a great experience, and we will be back for the next cut!

Mr. Goldie was "the" barber to get a real mans haircut. When he passed, God rest him, Michael stepped up and has kept the shop exactly the same. He is one of the most meticulus Barbers I've ever been to. He doesn't rush, he gives a fantastic hair cut! Checks your hair to make sure every hair is even and perfect! I'll never go anywhere else for my haircuts! You may have to wait a few minutes because he's quite busy. I'm my opinion it's well worth any wait if you value a terrific cut and a barber that takes immenus pride in his job. It is cash only, keeping the price at a very, very reasonable price. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Love Golden's Barber Shop BUT... I usually Michael or Richard cut my hair. I let the other guy cut my hair and it was the worst haircut. He didn't seem to care and he obviously didn't listen. He cut an excessive amount of hair off despite my request. Moral or the story, go with Michael or Richard. Also, I don't know if James still works there but he was a great barber too.

I was in search of a barber shop near Atlantic Beach since I retired and spend a lot of time here. I tried several but none were of the same caliber as Golden’s. When I found this shop I knew it was the right place. Golden’s is a family barber shop and they are very friendly. Michael does a great job cutting my hair. They do not take reservations so sometimes you may have to wait but it is well worth it.
