Golden Barbershop

There are aspects of business that people will comment on and it will affect their rating. Cons and how I mitigated them 1) Not super fluent in English (They know more about cutting hair than I do, so I gave a rough idea and let the expert go) 2) No front desk or front desk person (I just waited patiently and they served me in the order we came in) 3) Cash Only (I brought cash) 4) Loud TV with inappropriate music videos playing (I played chess with my son- and the lyrics were in Spanish, which he doesn't speak) I think the aforementioned cons can be fixed... but the sine qua non of a barbershop is whether they provide an excellent haircut. They do. If you can't look past the cons, don't go, but if you want a good haircut, you'll get it.

This experience was honestly quite poor. I went in for a haircut after I heard one of my friends say that they got a really awful haircut from this place. But their hair was so egregiously destroyed, I just couldn't believe he hadn't done this to himself. His hair was uneven on sides, thicker or thinner on some other sides, And instead of getting the haircut key apparently asked for he got a bowl cut. When I went in, there was a full hour wait. I saw at least three people come out with uneven haircuts... That's when I was beginning to regret my decision in finding out if he was telling the truth. Been here twice first time was done right by the dude with the naruto sheet he had, dude was cool too actually spoke to me even though I don’t speak much Spanish. The 2nd time was a different dude seemed like he just wanted to get the cut done with then get me out. The actual haircut could have been better a bit uneven someone I know is a barber he fixed it…

The big muscular guy cut my hair. I usually get my head buzzed and I was in the area so I gave this place a shot. I asked him to be gentle and told him that I would tip well if he didn't scalp me. He then proceeded to give me the most painful haircut of my life. I think he did it on purpose too. (Which is definitely the worst part). He gave me really bad razor burn and made me bleed and when I asked him about why he was so rough. He offered me alcohol to spray on my bleeding scalp and laughed at me when I refused. It was clearly malicious. Not sure what I did to deserve this assault but I definitely won't be coming back. He didn't ask for a tip but instead charged me 33$ which I am pretty sure isn't the actual price but I paid so I could get out of there as fast as possible. Haven't been

I've been coming here for years. One of the best barbershops in Somerset County. Phenomenal service, clean and priced very well. Highly recommended!
