Glo Tanning

The place was clean and the girls were nice but my gosh I wish I read the reviews before I went in there to know what I’d be up against. I walked in specifically for one single spray tan. The girl helping me insisted I had to take a tour and choose a package. When going over the prices with me I kinda gathered maybe she was new because another girl kept correcting her. Had that other girl not been standing there I would have been overcharged. Of course I end up getting a the least expensive package (I know that’s on me) but figured I may use it. Then ALL OF THE PRODUCTS they make you sit through is ridiculous. Then she pulls out a clear glo bag and says I have a bag for you. As she proceeds to hand it to me she tells me how much it would be. Went to sign up for a month of UV tanning, and it was just beyond pushy to sign up for their unlimited package. I repeatedly stated that I only wanted to do UV tanning for one month for an upcoming event. I stated I do not have extra time on my hands to try all services so it wouldn’t be worth my while. The girl took my card and placed it on file and then before proceeding with finalizing I said so we’re doing one month of tanning and then the girl proceeded to say no we’re signing you up for the unlimited package, which I never agreed to so I left. Not sure if it’s a part of their training to push the unlimited services package. I won’t be returning.

When you don’t have a membership the process of getting a service is pretty annoying. They run you through a questionnaire that isn’t relevant to the service you’re requesting and then required to give a tour of the facility and all the beds. If you’re trying to get in and out without a membership it’s just not going to happen. The young lady wasn’t as knowledgeable and recommended services that were not accurate, then proceeded to tell me when I was finished questioning why my spray looked like it did that I needed to was hours before her first recommendation, so pretty frustrating experience! Staff really makes the difference, I have been to other locations and had a great experience!! I should have stuck with what I knew worked instead of allowing them to recommend other services.

The salon is clean and beds are top tier. The girls working there are sweet. However, my only complaint I that every time I go in they try hard to sell me something. Every. Single time. And when I say I have my own lotion. They insist. Every time. That I show them. It’s annoying.

Wow. Im glad I came back here to review after seeing the others. I brought my wife here and had the absolute weirdest (to put it nicely) time ever. My wife wanted to tan one time. Thats it. Just to try it out. The girl would not take no for an answer. I understand they have a job to do, but why she was so pushy. It got very very uncomfortable. Even after my wife repeatedly said "I just want to try the "sun angel bed" one time for right now". It was just more of buy this, buy that you have to have this 19 dollar lotion and 8 dollar glasses. You have to have this 60 dollar package. If you dont have a strong will your going to get signed up for a package you dont want and is overpriced. Try South Beach Tans if you just want to chill and tan. We left with out purchasing anything or tanning
