I had a great experience at Givens Hair Studio with Dorcas and Tasha. I was able to get a same-day appointment. We started right at 4:30 PM and I was completely finished and on my way by 6:30 PM, which is impressive for braids. I got knotless braids (medium size, bra strap length) and the entire experience was quick, easy, and beautiful. My hair doesn’t feel tight at all, and I left feeling comfortable, confident, and genuinely beautiful. I appreciated how everything was explained clearly up front, including pricing, which was very affordable. I also loved being able to pay by card. Found this place on TikTok was excited to go. The reason for my two stars is because they get one star for same day booking & another star for 4 1/2 hours to braid my hair. I took away stars because the price changed three times before I actually sat down. Two I asked for small and still got bigger than what I paid for. Three I kept asking that they braided my hair to the tips I bought a picture I showed a picture to the owner. I showed a picture to both braiders. They all shook their head in agreement, but halfway through kept insisting that they couldn’t braid my hair to the tips reason given was my braiding hair was not good quality. Theirs was better yet they did not have ombré hair. They wanted me to use plain black hair 🤷🏽‍♀️😡. They offered me a $20 discount for being a first time cu

first time coming here and i had a good experience. i had two women on my head. very nice and fast. the woman at the front counter was nice as well. i arrived to my appointment at 12:30 and was out the door by 4:55. the only complaint i have is that i wish they didnt cut my ends of braids after dipping them or cutting them period. but overall beautiful braids. amazing service

The style took about 6 hrs or less, I appreciated the speed. I’ve been to Givens Hair Studio, the one in Concord and I LOVED my hair. I spent about $400 (buying the human hair bundles in store). The hair lasted me two months, I’ve never kept hair in that long but the braids were still in GREAT condition, just needing water and maybe a bit of mousse to refresh the human hair boho curls in the hair. I chose this location expecting the same service and hair quality, to my mistake. About a week into having my $400+ braids, the boho advertised “human hair” was not reverting to its curl, which was never an issue with my last style. Now it has been a month and my hair looks horrible. I’m going to stick to the Concord location, because it seems that they are charging their customers $180 for human

I made an appointment for Small/medium boho knotless on a Thursday morning. After the hair prep, I had two braiders, Dorcas and Bafana, working on my head and they were FAST! The parts were super neat and it was just the right amount of boho. Highly recommend coming here for a good braiding experience!
