Gina Hair Braiding

I had a great experience at Gina Braiding Shop! The service was excellent, the staff was professional and friendly, and my braids came out beautifully. The atmosphere was welcoming, and they really take their time to make sure you're happy with the results. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending Gina's to my friends and family.

If I could give this experience lower than 1 star I would. I went to Gina's because my mother had gone to her in the past and they have a good rapport. Weeks prior to my appointment (April 20) I sent photos to Gina expressing the style I wanted and the color. She reassured me that she knew how to do the style and that she would get the color match. Fast forward to my appointment day (May 1). My appointment was set for 9am but they didn't show up until 9:30am. I understand things happen so that was something I could look past. Now the actual braiding experience, I was under the impression that Gina would be braiding my hair, however it started with her daughter and then another young lady ended up braiding majority of my hair. My experience here was mixed. A customer came in asking only for a wash and braid down on short hair. A braid down is ugly cornrows worn under a wig or hat. She started taking out her own braids before the worker helped finish. The real issue was pricing. There aren't set prices for all services. In her case, it felt like Gina tried to overcharge. When she asked for a breakdown, Gina wouldn’t explain and claimed she had to charge more for “taking the braids down, and a deep conditioning," even though the woman had clearly taken out most her braids and the deep conditioning was her sitting under the hair dryer for 10min. And it looked like she brought in her own products! I know it may have been embarrassing for her, and I felt bad for her because no one wants to argue about prices. I als

Please do not go here for any type of hair service. Y’all played my friend so bad. Not even 2 minutes after the appointment, her hair started to frizz up. A MESS.

Worst place ever !! They lie and tell you they can do styles they can't do . Complete waste of time . They only know how to do box braids and not even well !! If you want any type of cornrow or neat hairstyle without small hairs being caught or your scalp throbbing then do not go here . Trash
