I recently started the cosmetology program at Georgia Career Institute, in January 2025 and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far as a freshman! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. Covering everything from basic techniques to advanced trends in hairstyling, skincare, and nail technology. One of the standout aspects of the program is the hands-on training. We had plenty of opportunities to practice on real clients in a salon-like environment, which boosted my confidence and skill level. I went to this school many many many moons ago but I still remember the experience like it was yesterday. This honestly was the best school that I ever attended (and I have been to a lot of schools). With everything comes good and bad especially experience, the school did have it’s fair share of things going on around that time but who doesn’t go through something. EDIT: while i wasn’t happy with my haircut, the entire management made it up to me. i know that schools are learning and that is part of the risk, but they offered to give me a facial and it was AMAZING. the student that i had was so attentive and you could tell that she knew what she was doing. I just want to thank the staff and management for making this entire experience right! i will definitely be back for some more facials in the future:) i am genuinely so upset with my hair cut. i asked four different times for her to cut my curtain bangs and each time she said that she will do it at the next step. by the end, i asked about my curtain bangs and she said “oh well i already curled your hair”. i asked right before she started to curl my hair to cut my curtain bangs and she said “yeah

I can honestly say I had very pleasant experience. I came in to get an overlay and the day time instructor Ms Stephanie squeezed me in for a next day appointment to compensate me. I arrived to my appointment and my student Special did a great job on her first attempt of deep French tips.

I’m not a student here (thankfully), but I contacted this school on behalf of a friend who lives out of state. She’s tried multiple times to reach someone and can’t get a single call back. The woman in financial services (who doesn’t give her name) was incredibly rude and offered no help whatsoever. No one seems willing to return calls to former students who entrusted this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place needs serious improvement in customer service and communication — start by checking messages and returning calls! For the record, I wasn’t even asking for private details — just a general question about how to pay a remaining balance. If someone had called her back, this wouldn’t even be an issue.
