I Got my shoes shined today by the one and only Mr. Robert, my shoes look better than the day I bought them! He is a super friendly man and you can tell he loves what he does! Great conversation too. I've also had a haircut and beard trim several times by a few of the different barbers here. They've always give me exactly what I ask for, and are friendly and professional too. They even get out the old straight razor for a trim on the neck and behind the ears! Absolutely love this place. It's like stepping back in time when you walk through those doors.

Mr. Robert Williams, and to all the rest you staff and barbers here at Front & Beckham Barber Shop - I have never visited here before, but I did see a video from the Texas Country Reporter on the Internet recently that gave an introduction on the history of this fine barber shop. To be honest, I was VERY impressed!! It looks like you all do a wonderful job over here with Robert shining shoes, the rest of the staff cutting hair, and you all in general "just making the people happy - whoever walks in the door!" I had to rate this place 5 stars, by what I seen in the video - truly an inspiring story! I hope one day to visit here, and have the privilege of one you cutting my hair, while Mr. Robert shines my shoes. Keep on smiling, and live life to the fullest!!

Have been using this shop for a number of years. Some of the best barbers in the country. I'm guessing close to 180 years or more combined experience in the chairs. Also probably THE best shoe shine in the business. Robert has been shining shoes for more than 50 years and he really knows his business.

If you are looking for a classic barbershop experience in Tyler, this is your place. The shop was the first business to open in this space, and has been here ever since. I sat in the first chair on the right, the chair of Larry Childers and those many years show in his experience, friendliness, and easy confidence. Add to all of this the very reasonable fee for a good, classic cut, and you should have your new barber.

Go early so you have time to get a second haircut later in the day to fix this one. I hate leaving a bad review because these guys are all so nice, but I’ve given up on this place. My first two visits I got the younger barber who stays nearest the window, and got exactly what I wanted. After that, for various reasons I couldn’t get him, and I had a different barber each time. Of those three times: one was an uneven weed-eater hack job; one wasn’t what I asked for, but wasn’t bad so I can’t complain too much; and the last one was borderline nearing a mullet. This is a simple, old school place with really great guys, but some of them just can’t cut it anymore.
