My son is 14, works weekends and wanted a nice haircut. I have Lupus and struggling a bit lately. We called to see the cost because he usually sees Franco and is happy with the cut, but Franco was not available at the time we needed. We were told $25 for him being a teen boy. After the appt he was told $60 by Ann Marie. No one mentioned it before the cut. He didn't want to make a scene so he went to the car sad and he called to ask why he was charged 60 instead. He was told because his hair was long and they charged him for a woman's cut. Not only was he sad he was embarrassed now. I just don't appreciate the way he was treated. Ann Marie Stoops at Shades Salon in Lake Mary is honestly the best stylist I’ve ever been to. Ever! She’s an absolutely exceptional stylist. She just really “learned” my hair from the get go and knew exactly how to style it exactly to my liking. Each and every time, which is unusual even for the best stylists. I can honestly say she’s the very best and no one else will ever style my hair again. And she’s super sweet too! Love her!

I called Shades looking for a good color specialist. The receptionist highly recommended Monica. She was right, Monica is wonderful! She listened carefully as I explained what I wanted and did a beautiful job with my highlights. My hair is fine and fragile so I was nervous initially but within the first few minutes of talking with her I felt comfortable and confident. My hair looks wonderful and better than it has since I moved here several years ago. Monica is my new stylist. I highly recommend her, and Shades salon.

It was an amazing experience, I personally had Franco as my stylist and it was great! He listened to what I wanted and had a lot of knowledge of what style and color would be best for me. Definitely will be coming back, very affordable as well which is always a plus.
