Freya Salon

This was my first time at Freya. I booked with Abigail and I’m sooo happy I found her. She listened to what I was looking for in a cut and gave me exactly what I wanted and more! She literally transformed my hair! She is a pro (and also just a joy to sit and chat with for the hour+). She also taught me step by step how to style my hair, and I didn’t even have to ask. She’s amazing. I’ve been looking for a new salon for over 2 years and the vibes were great - from the girls that checked me in/out, to all the other stylists around. Can’t wait to come back for my color appointment!

BEWARE OF CINDY - I scheduled a cut with Cindy, and therefore came in with a messy bun and unstyled hair. Note that my hair was nearly all one length with very long layers and about four inches below my shoulders. It was long. When she approached me she asked what I was there for and before I could check my confirmation email, she looked at her phone and said I had scheduled a Deva Cut. I didn't remember exactly at the time and therefore trusted her. We had a conversation about my hair; I shared that it had been at least six months since my last cut and therefore I just needed it healthy again.. I shared that my biggest concern was about having the layers be too short and therefore creating a shelf feeling, so please keep them very long and not around my face. Cindy said she would n

I had such a great experience with Abigail. I genuinely trust her with my hair. She’s so gentle, thoughtful, and takes the time to share styling tips and aftercare, which I really appreciate. You can tell she truly cares about what she does. Go book with her! She’s a gem! 💕

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon and unfortunately left with a haircut that looks nothing like what I asked for. Before my appointment, I showed the stylist (Cindy) a reference photo of a blunt bob and clearly explained that I only wanted my current bob cleaned up. I specifically said I wanted a blunt cut with just a slight lift in the back and emphasized that I absolutely did not want a short, stacked “Karen” style haircut. During most of the haircut I was asked to keep my head tilted down, which meant I couldn’t see what was happening in the back. I honestly can’t recommend Denyse enough for her scalp facial service. It’s such an amazing experience and so relaxing — my hair always feels incredible afterward. I love adding it on at the end of my hair appointments, but it’s also totally worth going in just for this service. Anytime my hair starts feeling limp or like there’s a bunch of product buildup, I go see Denyse and leave with my hair feeling clean, light, and refreshed. She does a great job with the massage and really creates a whole experience. I enjoy it so much that there are parts where I actually doze off. Highly, highly recommend.
