This is very long, but worth the read. I went to here to get extensions installed in June, after being referred by a friend. Prior to the installation, I went for a consultation where he looked at my hair texture, density, color, etc. We agreed on a price, which was not cheap, but that's to be expected. On the day of the installation, he started off by straightening my hair. He didn't put on heat protectant or anything and kept bumping me with the iron. I'm not sure if it was because he was talking to the lady who worked next door or what, but that alone was the first red flag. Then he only had one row of hair ready to install into my hair. I've sat with this for a few weeks, but have to share. Let me start by saying that Michael is kind and lovely, that is certain. However, I do not know where things went so awry. I came in with the inspo pics for a smokey, cool tone, gray. I indicated my hair was coming in gray and that I'd like to go the smokey color to cause less noticeability as it grows out while still being a fashion color, not natural. I showed a picture of what my natural hair has looked like last time it had grown out with some faded blue remnants and so he could see for reference what the natural color of my hair was. Now I do not normally have my hair professionally colored (i've had some terrible experiences in the past), so I was thrown off when he washed my hair and I saw how light it was. This review is coming a little late but I had to share that I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut and styled by Michael. He was incredibly kind and communicative throughout the process and made the experience very relaxing. He took time to get my feedback, making sure I was happy with the results of my haircut. I walked out feeling so much better about my hair and glad to find another LGBTQ business to visit. Thanks Michael!

Adore Michael!! This was only my second time having my hair professionally colored and wanted to do full pastel. Michael listened to my goal, offered sound recommendations, explained the day's process, and went over the care needed to maximize how long the color will last. They cut, bleached, colored, and styled my hair effortlessly all while we spoke about life experiences and hobbies. So glad I found Fluffy Punk! I'll be returning for all of my dramatic hair goals.

I absolutely adore and love Michael!!! When I first moved back into the area this summer I was hesitant to let anyone touch my hair but I just had a feeling when I met Michael that I wasn’t going to regret my decision! He’s previously done pink for me back in October, but I went in today for a change and we decided on black with purple undertones. It’s truly the color that I didn’t know I wanted!!! I feel so blessed to have met such an amazing hair stylist that I will continue to go back to :)
