I’ve been a loyal client for many years, but I won’t be returning. It was said that as long as the braids are done well, it doesn’t matter how customers are treated—they’ll come back anyway. That may be true for some, but not for me. Yes, the braids are good, but the overall experience is not worth it. You cannot take someone’s money and then talk about them while they’re sitting in your salon, look at them with disgust, and pretend to be friendly just to get paid. That behavior is disrespectful and dehumanizing. Quality service should include basic respect, not just technical skill.

I arrived early Friday morning to clean and quiet shop and I had such a great experience with PHILAMINA!!! 😃 She braided quickly but with so much care. My braids look amazing, and they’re neat without being too tight, so I was comfortable the entire time. LONG REVIEW ALERT!!! 🚨 I wish I was coming here to give 5 stars because the past 3 times I went I loved my hair and was very much RESPECTED!!! However , this go round if I could give 0 stars I would… Lets start on how FLOKAY lacks with customer service and the understanding of communication with a paying customer. I came Monday for a boho knotless BOB in which I supplied both my own braiding hair and my own DEEP BULK human hair. I was CHARGED $200. I didn’t argue the price because money isn’t an issue and I one who is all for “your price is your price” even if it is sketchy. I paid because like my 1st 3 times of paying a little over $300 for some amazing braids I didn’t mind . I have been coming to Flokay’s for over 15 years. This is a place where I know I can come and get anything done and be completely satisfied. Braids, twist, corn rolls and especially sewing’s. Amy is exceptional when she does my sewing’s. They last for at least two months and no breakage. I highly recommend.
