Flava In Ya Hair - The Bronx

Flava in your hair is a safe space for people of color where they hold many technical skills. While ladies hair is done, this is a barbershop with parking, in the Bronx. The Barbers keep a friendly feel and aren’t too stuffy as you find in Manhattan. They also give honest feedback about styles and what is achievable. The prices are scaled for client convenience so that they can have access to top of the line experiences or other things within their budget. They also offer convenient subscriptions for their clients so that they don’t have to think about scheduling and or paying for services.

Everything that glitters really ain’t gold. I’ve had a handful of appointments at this barbershop. Originally saw them on instagram. Saw the google reviews and was sold. (YOU REALLY SHOULD LEAD WITH THE BAD REVIEWS) If no one else wants to tell the truth I will. Mediocre cuts for very high prices. Almost no one washes their hands. I guess if you don’t ask for them to change razors in between clients they don’t smdh. I’ve watch the big fella not change his razors from one client to the next. Them being so unsanitary was a major concern for me and my family and why will not be returning. Also what kind of conversation should be off limit for somewhere professional or for somewhere family oriented. I see why the female barber is no longer there. I see why they come and go. This is the best barbershop in NYC! When you walk in you feel nothing but knowledge and vibes. My brother received the Presidential experience and it was worth it. Our barber Patrick is more than experienced and went out of his way to ensure my brother had a precise haircut, crisp edges, and smooth skin from facial. My brother brought a pic of what he wanted done and Patrick over delivered. I can not tell you enough how great this experience was. I am now planning to go back for my big chop as Patrick and other barbers make this shop feel like a safe space for all hair insecurities. Highly recommend for sure!

Literally a cut above the rest! Not all barbershops are the same and this one is a local gem! Reggie included my son in his decision on what cut to get and I could see little man feel empowered. When he left he said “I like them” Attached see photo of the line up! It speaks for itself. Run don’t walk to get hair looking it’s best. Side note: I was able to see other barbers work while we waited to get my son’s hair done and I can honestly say all finished products cleaned up very well. But of course we have our new favorite barber.

If you are looking for a place that feels like home when you need to get your hair done, this is the place to go! The environment was warm and welcoming. Patrick did an awesome job with my hair. The hair color and cut framed my face nicely. He is open to any questions you may have and does his best to make his customers happy. This is my home away from home when I need to my hair done.
