Flashlight Barbershop

Out of town and stopped in looking for a haircut for my sons. One barber was cutting hair, one was on his phone, and another was on break. We sat down to wait and weren’t acknowledged at all. When I asked if a reservation was needed, I was told someone would be with us shortly, but no one ever came over. Too much time on phones, not enough basic customer service. I won’t support a place that can’t even offer a simple greeting.

I stopped by the shop to ask if someone could give my grandson a simple temp fade haircut. I spoke with a barber who came across as blunt and unhelpful. He first said, “I don’t do them,” and then clarified he meant kids. There were no other patrons in this establishment.. no one but me and the barber. The barber then told me they were closing soon, even though it was only 5 PM and the posted hours online said they closed at 8. He added that he had an appointment anyway. It felt like he was making unnecessary excuses rather than just saying he doesn’t cut kids’ hair—which would’ve been totally fine on its own. A simple, honest suggestion to come back another day when the barber who DOES cut children’s hair was available would’ve been appreciated. It left me with the impression that they do

An hour and $30 spent on a haircut only for my hairline to be visibly lopsided is insane. Earns a star for the short wait time I had.

First time I went in there was an amazing worker named Chris he worked excellent. Then I came back and I had another guy cut my hair I showed him the picture and the fade on the side looks crazy but then he I said barely on the top and this man actually didn’t use a comb he grabbed chunks and cut the top and my bangs were longer than the other. He still made us pay 35$ total waste of money

As a 757 native, there are several barbershops 💈 to choose from but Flashlight as a brand has ALWAYS been there for me! From Chesapeake Square, to Military Circle, and now to Greenbrier Mall I’ve been a solid and faithful patron to the crew. Rico, Kyrie, Chris, “B”, Kato, Big Will, and Mike have been my dudes! The staff has changed over the years but Flashlight 💈 as a brand will forever be “home”! Not everyone has the same skill and capabilities to cut all types of hair but I put my trust in “B” & Chris at Greenbrier Mall to ALWAYS get the job done & handle the task with grace. Not just for me, but for my family!! And if you wana talk a lil smack about sports, music, or the latest news … lol … Big Will always is good person to get the vibe started!! 🫡 Love these dudes
