First Oriental Therapy Center

I went there after having a lumbar fusion surgery. I tried almost everything, getting no pain relief. The doctor used maybe 30 needles during acupuncture session. A couple of days later, my range of motion and ability to walk at a normal pace had improved tremendously. I went another time when he wasn't there and the results weren't quite the same. That's the only reason I didn't give five stars. If you schedule an appointment, make sure the doctor is there. It's worth the visit. 👍

When I first moved to Southeast Michigan it took me a while to find a good massage therapist. After several tries I found a gem in Lucy. She is very good. Never rushes and applies the perfect amount of pressure. I had previous L5 S1 surgery and she knows exactly how to treat that. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommend! I also had a few acupuncture treatments and can say I feel better because of it.

As a man in my 60’s I have had issues with back pain for the past couple of decades. I had been treated over the years by physical medicine specialists, physical therapists, and chiropractors, however the results were usually disappointing. I cannot describe how much First Oriental Therapy Center has improved my quality of life. After a total of ten operations over several years I was miserable with pain on a daily basis, it controlled everything I did, or wanted to do. First Oriental Therapy Center has given me a quality of life that I thought I would never regain. I strongly suggest 1st Oriental Therapy Center to anyone struggling & frustrating with chronic pain, especially back pain, like myself. I have tried everything natural because I do not want to take pain medication. Dr Ma was the most thorough & professional doctor I've ever seen. He spent more time with me than the 4 previous doctors I saw combined. Both him & Lucy are truly invested to make you feel better. I went in with a 10 level of pain & left feeling pain free. Even better, I woke up nearly pain free, which for me is very uncommon. I cannot wait for my 2nd session next week!!!
