Fiona Hair NYC

This was the best experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done. It was a totally private one on one service inside her clean lush salon. One hundred percent Covid safe and she really knows her stuff! Her knowledge on hair and hair care was a welcome delight! I got exactly what i wanted in a hair cut and went back two months later for a full highlight and she exceeded my expectations! 5 Stars!!!

FIONA is great! She is down-to-earth and wants to be in conversation with your hair even before meeting. She'll request photos of ideal haircuts and after the cut encourage a text checkin so she knows how the new haircut is settling in. She saw me happily for a post-haircut tweaking for 15 minutes. I appreciated that so much. The haircut was a little new for me. It held up in a humid run (!), which is amazing. If you are looking for an authentic person to cut your hair, a person who wants to be in conversation with you I think you'll be glad to work with Fiona. I have wavy hair, just above the shoulders.

Stumbled upon Fiona Hair NYC randomly when living in Carroll Gardens but have since moved too far away to easily come back. I was allured by a green glittery door with a trans barber shop spinning thing (forget what those are called, haha). I investigated and Fiona came out with a green business card and looked more into her services online and she is a one-woman show and is extremely eco-conscious and the atmosphere is an utter delight as everything is green and bright. She is a brilliant hairdresser and does great barber style cuts as well which made me feel confident and wonderful. Also, an incredible colorist which is quite an art form. Fiona is an excellent stylist and passionate expert on all things hair. And she enjoys imparting her knowledge to her clients. I have learned so many things about hair from her that no one had ever told me. I have very fine hair, and she has given me great cuts and styling tips. She has recommended excellent styling and coloring products. In fact, I once went to her for cut and color as some grey has started to appear, and she said I didn’t need to start salon dying my hair yet, and instead suggested a great product that has saved me time, money, and damage to my hair. Highly recommend.

Had my first haircut with Fiona and I am so happy I found her!! Best haircut I’ve had in Brooklyn and I really appreciate that she takes her time to talk about your options and make recommendations for the best cut and products for you without being pushy. Extra bonus for the covid safety measures and that she’s part of the hair recycling program ! Will definitely be back 😀
