The owner is a very skilled barber. You’ll get a great haircut. The problem is he doesn’t respect your time so 9 times out of 10 you’ll have to wait even if you have an appointment. He’s inconsistent, so sometimes the cut will take 25 minutes, sometimes it’ll take 45 minutes because he’s distracted. Also a terrible communicator, so you won’t find out he’s running behind or isn’t even at the shop until you get there. Despite those things, safety is why I stopped going. He left cuts on parts of my face with trimmers, where I didn’t have any hair, more than once, and kept saying it was an accident. He’s too skilled and experienced to believe it’s an accident. When I tried to address it, he responded unprofessionally.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Tykim at Finesse Barber & Beauty for over 15 years, and I can honestly say he’s one of the best in the game. His attention to detail, consistency, and professionalism have kept me coming back all these years. Whether it’s a fresh fade or a clean lineup, he always delivers top-tier service. If you’re looking for a barber who truly takes pride in his craft, Tykim is the one. Also the vibe of the salon is insane. Feel so comfortable and welcomed everytime. Great convos and laughs.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by tykim for quite some time now. I recently decided to grow my hair out to get braids. Tykim hooked me up with Aaliyah to do 2 strand twist and she did a better job than anyone that ever touched my hair. Thank you and I will be coming back. Keep up the good work.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. Tykim does an amazing job cutting hair but the time management is terrible. If my appointment is at 2 o’clock, I don’t mind waiting until about 2:15 to get in the chair. But anything after is absolutely ridiculous. I thought it was a one time thing so I booked another appointment for my son and it literally was the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s over booked or what the problem is but it’s an absolute no for me. You can see someone else left a review and said the same thing so I know it isn’t just me!
