Fatima Professional African Hair Braiding

I visited Makoya Kourouma’s hair salon after speaking with her on the phone about getting beginner dreads for myself and my son. Over the phone, she told me the price would be $30–$40 for the dreads. When we arrived at the salon, the stylist began working on my son’s hair. I asked again about the price for beginner dreads, and she confirmed it was the same price she had given me over the phone. However, when she was already halfway done, she suddenly changed the price from $40 to $80 for the dreads. So i then, told her I could do $60 a piece for both my hair and my son’s hair. This is where I made a mistake — I paid upfront with my card. Once she finished my son’s hair, I noticed something was wrong. The style she did was not beginner dreads, but twisties instead. This place is horrible, they rush and do your hair they don’t cut the fly away off the braids, if you ask for small braid they would start big in back and then go small in front, Your hair will not be to your desire liking at all, they don’t comb the hair out just start helping and braiding looking for tacky by the head after spending so much money

UPDATE: style only last TWO weeks and I had to get my hair redone. I experience moderate breakage. horrible experience, theyre yelling and arguing the entire time. not listening to any suggestions, over pricing the style and it’s NOT equivalent to the quality of the work… i have three huge braids in the front of my head. never coming back again. they almost burned me putting flames to my hair… i am afraid i will have breakage. fatima herself told me not to come back because the style i asked for was too complicated… very unprofessional.

Just don’t go trust me, And they also own multi African braiding shops around the Akron area they’re all are terrible service (JUST GO TO CLEVELAND OR AN ACTUALLY AMERICAN BRAIDER)!!!!

They braid good and they are fast. My only issue is they will change the price on you mid way through the braiding.and that’s not cool.
