Fashion Nails

This was my first time here and I was so impressed! From the moment I walked in, the front desk was warm and welcoming. Kimmy did my nails and she was so kind, gentle, and thorough. My nails came out absolutely perfect. I really appreciated how attentive she was throughout the whole service. Nancy did my toes and she was phenomenal. She took her time, made sure everything was done beautifully, and the results are amazing. Such a great experience overall. I will definitely be returning!

This place is absolutely horrible. I went in for a simple PLAIN ONE COLOR set of acrylics. I even showed an inspiration picture and I told her I wanted THAT photo with the color I chose. When I chose my color she tried to persuade me to not choose the color I WANTED. I wanted them short due to my job just how they were in the picture. She said no problem at all she can do that. The woman doing my nails drilled my natural nails so deep they started bleeding, she repeatedly cut my skin and leaving them to bleed, when I would tell her something was hurting she would say “almost done stop moving”. She was also rude, she spent 3 HOURS doing such a simple set of nails and yet they still look terrible. She filed the nails so much the tips are now basically non existent and it just looks like she

The first instance is when I was getting a pedicure and the lady was talking and moving so fast that she pulled my skin so hard that it started bleeding. It has been years and I still have a hard ugly callus from that incident. I avoided that place for a year but out of a time constraint I went there one weekend. My service was less than 100$. I was going to tip her about 13-15$ ( her poor attitude made me want to give her the 13$. But it would be fair. When I received my change I was pulling out my money she yelled at me and told me how much her tip should be. I sarcastically asked her do you want me to tip you x amount of money. With her face scrunched up she said “yes” unapologetically. It was so rude and nasty. Disgusted I gave her money and went to the owner who did almost nothing.

I am in absolute disbelief over what I just experienced today at Fashion Nails. Since it’s the closest salon to where I live, I’ve tried giving them several chances but I’m officially done. From the moment I walked in, the woman at the front rushed me straight to a pedicure chair before I could even explain that I needed both a pedicure and a fill-in. She started my pedicure and then repeatedly asked if I liked it. Over and over. Yes, I picked it, I like it. Then she confirmed the price with me. Gel $40. As if I didn’t know, even though this wasn’t my first time there. What frustrated me most was that as a Black woman, I didn’t see anyone else in the packed salon being treated this way. This salon staff has gotten too big for their egos. I just had the worst experience getting a mani/pedi. Started with the technician named Shelly who was so rude oppositional and dismissive of anything I had to say regarding my body. She didn’t want to hear anything. After she did my toes, speaking to her mate about me ( I understand Chinese) she attempted to do a gel manicure. She was so rough pulling and pushing my hands around. Cutting me multiple times and not even stopping. Making faces, again talking about me and all patrons, ignoring any of my comments and disageeeing with my requests. She then told me to stop talking to the woman next to me. She said it made me move while she was trying to do a French manicure which was reasonable, but demanded it instead of asking and again mumbl
