Fantastic Sams Cut & Color

Shockingly quality hair stylists and colorist at this location. I’ve been going here for 10 years and am very picky about my hair. Mary is amazing at every aspect. She is highly trained but doesn’t like the cut throat nature of the bigger salons so is content here. You won’t get a better hair cut for the price anywhere in the area.

Haven't gotten a haircut in the area so I decided to just play it safe and cheap with Fantastic Sam's since I have long hair and it's pretty hard to mess up. Went in and knew I should have walked right out. The woman there was older, had a bad dye job, and her hair was just thrown up like it hadn't been washed in a couple of days. She didn't even consult me on what I wanted, or look at what my hair was like dry, just immediately took me back to wash it. When we got back I let her know that I ALWAYS part my hair in this one spot. That has always mattered with hair dressers in the past, but not her. I let her know that I like my hair long and that I wanted a maximum of 2 inches off with layers up to 3 inches above that. She keeps saying "Yep, yep, yep," through my explanation and it's hard

HORRIBLE! I went to go get highlights , it was Friday at noon. Yes I was a walk in, but never have I ever had such horrible expirence . Three people asked me what I was there for and I had to keep repeating myself . They looked clueless when all I said was I want a cut and highlights. They made me sign in and wait, eventually someone came and told me she can do it but she has to get someone else to wash my hair bc she has other clients through out the day , I said that’s fine . Waiting there for 25 mins for her to finish with her intitial client then came up to me and said “I actually don’t think I’ll havw time for you today I’m sorry”WHAT WAS THE POINT OF MAKING ME WAIT ?? Never coming back . She was short and Hispanic with medium length hair , avoid her at all costs .

First I want to say this place is a horrible place. Racially profiled as soon as we walked in. The lady told me and my daughter that we don’t do y’all kinda people hair which was an major insult then she say we don’t have those kinda tools to do y’all kinda of people hair we asked her to repeat that and she said it again. I never in my life experience nothing like this, but we went to another store that helps us out and told us that they do all kinds of hair. Bad bad experience. Even the lady at the front counter did. Not want to help us she immediately called for someone else to help us. Can anyone point in the direction of a good lawyer.

So I read the reviews first before walking in and unfortunately, I was introduced by a very unenthusiastic person reviewing my hair. She quoted a cost for what I wanted before I had her start on anything. She was blunt about the damage in my hair, didnt want to give me a dry cut and just overall not friendly. I would hate to catch her on a really bad day.
