Got a gel manicure Monday (6/30) and by Friday (7/4), one nail had fallen off and two were lifting. I’ve had dozens of gel manicures and this has never happened. I also waited over 30 minutes despite having an appointment, and noticed flaws in the chrome (which I paid extra for) and gel on my cuticles after the appointment. There was no price transparency and I paid far more than expected. When I called to request a refund, the manager Anna refused and insisted she had to see in person, despite the fact I explained I live 30 minutes away. Went there for the first time to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. Lip was fine, but she burned under my eyebrows, right above my eyelids. It was and still is very painful.

Fairmount Nails is my favorite salon in the city - I've been going here for three years and I always leave happy! Anna and her amazing team are all highly skilled and have a high standard for quality. I trusted them with my engagement photo nails, and my wedding / honeymoon nails, and I have continued to come back every month. I've gotten dip manicures for the past year straight and my nails are still very healthy thanks to their careful technique. Highly recommend Fairmount Nails!

I went to Fairmount nails thinking it was perfect because it was nearby and relatively cheap. $23 for a full set. I understood this would not be as extensive of a manicure that I am used to due to pricing but I did not expect them to be so bad. It started off with her shaping my nails, I asked for oval. She shaped them into what I can only describe to you as coffin with a flat end. Kind of like a rain drop. I said this is not oval. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she said that’s round. I said whatever it is, I did not ask for them to be pointy at the end. She tried to fix them but cut the tips so short there was not enough nail to reshape. In addition to this, she did not maintenance my cuticles or hands or anything.
