Fade O' Clock

I had never been to this barbershop before, but I often noticed people going in and out, so I finally decided to give it a try. I had just gotten off work and walked in around 6 p.m., hoping to get a haircut. I was tired and hungry but willing to wait to be serviced. When I entered, no one greeted me. I noticed a young man sitting on one of the benches, so I sat across from him and waited. By 7:54 p.m., almost two hours later, not a single person had acknowledged me. Although the barbers were busy with clients, not one of them asked if I had been helped. One barber even came out of the restroom, looked in my direction, but didn’t say a word. Since the shop closes at 8 p.m., according to Google, I eventually got up and left. It was disappointing to wait that long without any acknowledgment.

I was referred by a friend. Went in with a positive attitude. I asked for a mid with a drop, he gave me a high fade one side blended higher than the other. He seemed to be in a rush he cut my friend and I in 30 minutes and didn’t even cut my friends beard like he asked. I give the respect that I receive and I genuinely feel like this barber didn’t care about his work. I stilled tipped $10 out of kindness. But coming from some one who been getting faded for 20 years. I say stay away if you are serious about your hair.

Highly recommend if your looking for a good fade. Loved the fact on how clean he was and also took his time with my son. Definitely found my new barber for my son and my self.

Edgar was great. Nice haircut with great prices. Had some friendly conversations with people waiting to get faded.

I just moved to Mcallen from Arizona and needed a good barbershop. I look them up and let me tell you if I could give past 5 stars I would! The husband and wife team that runs this is amazing, friendly, and welcoming! If you are looking for a good barbershop this is the place! I will for sure be back!
