A great professional and friendly atmosphere. The stylists are warm and always make every effort to satisfy customers. Ilene is very skilled in her field and I admire that she is always seeking to new knowledge and getting trained, using effective methods for hair loss etc. I can’t say enough about this business but just go and experience it for yourself. They are truly like family.

I have been to several locticians and Expressions is top-notch. This salon is comfortable and the ambience is great. I have sisterlocks and I never fail to get compliments from others. Ilene is great with repairing locs and contrary to other reviews, the prices are great compared to others I have been charged. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Ilene (known as the LocDoc) is an excellent Sisterlocks consultant. She does not just rush through retightening but stops to repair any locks that need repair. She earns the name LocDoc! She is a lovely person. Important for these times she adheres to Covid-19 protocols keeping her clients safe while they are in her shop. She also provides skin care services and products. She makes sure that she stays educated about how to keep hair & skin healthy and passes this knowledge along to her clients.

I have been coming here for more than 5 yrs and have always found Ilene and her staff to be very professional. It goes without saying that they do top notch work because I would not keep coming back otherwise. I highly recommend Expressions Hair Design for all you hair concerns.

I was searching for a salon to have my sister locs retighten. I was referred to Expression Hair Design. The treatment I receive there from Ilene the owner was unprofessional. I left the salon feeling like I was taken advantaged of .The salon was overbooked and I was overcharged for the services. Ilene would not honor the price she quoted when I made the appointment. I was not told about additional fees for common services. I believe I was charged more because I was new to the salon. Gouging of prices is not a good business practice. I was quoted a price of $110.00 with the washing and conditioning of my sister locs was included. I was actually charge $185.00 with $35.00 of the for washing and conditioning my hair.
