I got my hair done by Izzi, I called ahead and she squeezed me in. She did amazing. I have very long thick hair, haven’t cut it in 6-7 years and she did amazing adding layers, face framing and cutting a couple inches off. Everyone’s vibe was comforting and sweet and all around a good experience! Highly recommend!

I went there because I thought if they put so much effort into the decor they must be really good at making people look fabulous when they leave. My instincts were right. It's adorably decorated and very sophisticated but with zero pretense. Everyone there including the owner was very warm and kind and made me feel like a valued client. I had Izzy do my hair and not only is she a lovely person to converse with, she's a fabulous stylist. In less than an hour she washed, conditioned, cut, layered, blow dried and straightened my hair perfectly. I'm saving up for the color treatment next. My cut was EXTREMELY affordable and it was a top notch experience. Plus they offer you wine, coffee, soft drinks, etc. I can't recommend it highly enough. I had the most amazing experience getting my hair done at Essence for the first time. Leah cut, colored, and styled my hair- she was absolutely amazing! She did a thorough consultation before we got started to make sure we were on the same page, and she had such a warm and welcoming personality. I can’t recommend Essence and Leah enough!

By far, Essence provides the most exceptional salon experience, and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. The owner, Kindsay, has been my stylist for years. Her talent consistently exceeds my (admittedly very particular) expectations, but what truly sets her apart is the culture she has cultivated within her salon. I only went in for a simple haircut, nothing crazy. BUT, Leah was absolutely wonderful!! She is so kind and personable. I left the salon feeling like I just spent hours catching up with an old friend. She was so easy to talk to and even though I just got a haircut, I absolutely LOVED how it turned out.
