Epheta Hair Braiding

First off this was not my first time at this salon and while I always felt the daughter had a very weird attitude, she did hair decent so I dealt with it. When I arrived to get my hair done this time, the mother was VERY rude ! I was asking about colors and she was taking it as I was saying she didn’t know how to do her job. Stating she’s been doing hair for over 20 years(nobody asked) and she taught her daughter and so on ( again, nobody asked) I was confused because I was giving her as much respect as I could in that moment and letting her talk, and when I said to her “ You’re being aggressive” the daughter stated oh don’t talk to my mother like that. I was confused yet again because clearly she wasn’t prepared to do NOTHING but she must not have heard her mother talking crazy for 20 m

Mother and Daughter always polite and patient. Truly appreciate great service. Braids are protective styles and never damaged our hair.. Three daughters and I.

I’ve gone to this salon 3 times in total. The first time, it was for a renewal, the lightskin woman was a God send in that moment who renewed my old braids for a reasonable price. The second time, I went to get crochet locs that came out so amazing (in my profile pic) that I tipped $20 to the fat dark skin woman. Today was different, I went to get the same crochet locs, I woke up at 7 am for my 9 30 appointment and went. I came early and the woman told me she’d be a few minutes late and that was totally fine. I came in with my hair and took a seat, it was the fat dark skin woman again. She was on the phone talking about me in French. She told me to comb my hair out (I had just showered so it was damp and compressed) which I did, no problem. She started complaining on the phone in French a

The braiding quality is awesome. I can keep my style for at least 2 months & it still looks fresh like it was just done. She braids quick & doesn't pull your hair while braiding. It's just right. I usually get cornbraids. I 💜 this place!

Love love love my lemonade braids. They were so intricately done and neat. I was beaming when I got out the chair. Finally happy to find a great place to get my hair braided out here in long island.
