Elegance Hair Braiding

I had a terrible experience at this salon today. Within an hour of leaving, my freshly retwisted locs unraveled completely. When I returned to the salon, they refused to listen, blamed me, and spoke in their own language amongst each other when I was talking to them, making me feel disrespected. Despite giving a generous tip, they wouldn't reschedule at a convenient time for me, ignoring the fact that I live in West Philly, not Trenton. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs!

This was my first visit here and even though I came in for something very simple she did excellent work! Her braids are so neat. The ladies are soft spoken and sweet, the shop was very comfortable and I fell asleep because she was gentle and the environment was relaxing. Price was very fair and she works fast but good.

I recently returned to this place after a few years of not visiting them and the work is still good in my opinion. I got in early and was done before I knew it. I love how the style came out and it was not as expensive as what other places are charging. I do plan on returning soon.

EDIT: (Returned to shop in 2025) I called and asked for mini twists. Both my husband and I were told $300 for the style. We bought human hair that cost almost $300 alone. Once there, a woman started working on my hair. Then another and another. This resulted in many different size twists that I didn't notice until closer inspection once home. Also, the braider said the style was actually $400 once completed instead of the $300 we were told on the phone. We thought that was odd and not our mistake but paid the extra $100. Two weeks later and half my twists have come out my head already. I haven't overmanipulated them or washed the twists. It was just poor installation. I will never go back or recommend anyone get their hair done at this shop.

Made a appointment to get my hair done. Confirm the appointment that morning to make sure everything was good to go. Left work early so I would be on time. When I arrived the door was lock, all the lights were off and closed sign was up. Never called me to let me know the appointment was canceled nor did they call me to reschedule. Poor customer service. Will not be using their services.
