Elan Salon

I visited this salon for the first time which was also the last time. The deep conditioner smelled like some type of bug spray. But I still gave it a chance. The hair stylist are very slow. My car was parked 5 steps from the salon door. Before I could get to my car, my entire scalp had already began itching terribly. I knew I would never return. I had to wash my hair when I got home and it still did not stop the itching or the horrible smell from the conditioner. I literally had to wash my hair every week for two entire months before the horrible smell and the itching calmed down. I went to this salon to treat myself for my birthday. It wasn't worth the time or the money. It was actually a waste of money.

The level of this woman’s unprofessionalism is unbelievable. To know that someone runs a whole business out of scamming hard working people out of their money is really sad. My husband ordered hair from her almost two weeks in advance for delivery and because she did not send the hair when she was supposed to she had to come and drop the hair literally the night before my hair appointment. And that was not the worst of it all. When I opened the hair, I was so baffled by the fact that the hair bundles I got from her were not full bundle. They looked like she had cut bundles in half to made them unto separate bundles to make them look like full bundles . In that moment I realized I had just been scammed out of $530. It is sad when you want to support black owned businesses and you encounter

Melandie did an amazing job with my hair. I went from never having a color treatment to purple. Let’s just say I had to trust the process. Not only did she do an amazing job with my hair she poured and uplifted my spirit. I was feelin” myself afterwards. The product she put in my natural thick hair allowed my hair to blossom it brought out curls I never thought I had. Here are some pics. Will continue to update along the way. Will be a returning client. She’s an amazing woman.

Mellandie is phenomenal! I have been going to her for years. Not only is she exceptional at her craft but she also cares about the health of your hair. The salon is clean, friendly and a true place for women to gather/laugh and come out looking absolutely gorgeous! Hands down if you are looking for a salon that does it all this is the place for you!

My first time at Elan’s. Mel did my hair and I love it! They use quality products and did a great job with my hair. It feels healthy and looks beautiful. I will be back!
